Event: Domestic Violence Drop in - Hook Centre, Chessington
| Title | Domestic Violence Drop in - Hook Centre, Chessington |
|---|---|
| Description | A new Drop in Service for victims of domestic violence has been set up at the Hook Library in Chessington. The first session will take place on Friday 18 June and will run every Friday from 10.00 a.m. to midday for a pilot period of six months. See flyer for further details. Feedback from agencies, including health and schools, has indicated that there is a need for a specialist domestic violence service in the Chessington area. This drop in will provide an opportunity for victims to seek information and advice and then, if appropriate, they can be referred to the One Stop for more comprehensive services. It should be pointed out this is not a support or survivors group but a drop in service. Specialists domestic violence workers will be on hand and will often also be attending the One Stop Shop at the Baptist Church in Kingston so continuity of support can be assured. The service is fully accessible to all members of the community with good disabled access and parking.
